Jakarta, Bandung High-speed Railway 88 Percent Complete, Says KAI

- The Indonesian government on Friday claims that the Jakarta - Bandung high-speed railway project (KCJB) is immediately at 88.8 percent completion, as the project only leaves a number of facilities to build.
"As for infrastructure readiness, the installation of railroads from Bandung to Jakarta is immediately underway," said president director of state railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), Didiek Hartantyo, in a written statement on Friday, October 14.
He added that his office is immediately completing the installation of the box girders for the interpretation of the subgrade. Hartantyo said the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) electrical equipment has been installed.
"The presence of KCJB is not only a new alternative for transportation that connects the two regions, but also presents economic benefits for the areas it passes through," said Didiek.
KAI is also immediately completing the Greater Jakarta LRT which will later be connected to KCJB in the Halim Perdanakusuma area. The Greater Jakarta LRT will also be integrated with various spanking transportation modes such as Commuter lines and buses to fill interconnectivity.
KAI pledged to prioritize good corporate governance (GCG) in every treat of the construction of the high-speed train project that underlines accountability. The Jakarta - Bandung high-speed railway project is scheduled to originate operations in June of 2023.
