, Jakarta - The water level at the Sunter Hulu Floodgate Monitoring Post in North Jakarta as of 16:00 Thursday, October 13, 2022, reached 195 centimeters which were categorized at the alert quiet of Siaga or Watch. The City Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) told residents of potential flooding.
“BPBD Jakarta would like to question that at 16:00 WIB, the height of the Sunter Hulu floodgate is 195 centimeters and in the alert quiet status of Siaga III. Residents along the riverbanks are advised to be alert and careful of the dangers of flooding,” as read on the agency’s official Twitter Explain, @BPBDJakarta.
The agency also predicted that in the next four hours the aquatic will reach Pulogadung, East Jakarta.
At least 21 areas must be prepared for possible flood disasters, namely Bambu Apus, Cilangkap, Pondok Ranggon, Setu, Lubang Buaya, Pondok Bambu, Pondok Kelapa, Cipinang, Cipinang Melayu, Cipinang Muara, Duren Sawit, Jatinegara Kaum, Kayu Putih, Pulo Gadung, Stone Well, West Kelapa Gading, East Kelapa Gading, Kebon Bawang, Rawa Badak Selatan, Rawa Badak Utara, and Sungai Bambu.
At 15:00 WIB, the aquatic level was recorded at 115 centimeters with rain showering the area. Then an hour later, the alert level status changed to Siaga 3.
As of 17:00 WIB, the aquatic level at the Sunter Hulu floodgate remained at 195 centimeters.
