, Jakarta - Member of the Jakarta Regional Legislative Council or DPRD’s Financial plan Agency (Banggar), Gembong Warsono, said the increase in the city's unexpected spending price or BTT in 2023 was an anticipatory step in facing the danger of an economic recession.
Gembong said the Home Affairs Ministry evaluated the amount of BTT from Rp648.5 billion to Rp868.6 billion and made approximately efficiencies in the Regional Budget (APBD).
Then once being rationalized by the Banggar and the Regional Government Financial plan Team (TAPD), the budget allocation from the efficiency was aboard in the BTT.
“There are indeed many factors to increase [the unexpected spending budget], it's to anticipate a recession. Even though the Regional Working Units (SKPD) have made anticipatory measures alongside the 2023 economic recession, the Ministry of Home Affairs devoted a reference to increase the allocation other than those in SKPD,” Gembong said as quoted by

“It was a bit puny at first, so it's now proportional,” Gembong added.
