Zendaya is one of the biggest global superstars in the earth thanks to her performance in projects like
Spiderman
series, Dune series, Euphoria and many more. Her latest project, Challengers directed by Luca Guadagnino, hit the screens on April 26. The romantic sports film also stars Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor in the lead with Zendaya.
As per Box Organization Mojo, in the USA, the film opened to US $ 6,220,481 ( 6.2 million) but the collection of the film has dropped with every passing day.
On Saturday the film smooth US $ 5,008,887 ( 5 million) and on Sunday the numbers dropped to US $3,781,710 ( 3.78 million), thus taking the overall collection of Challengers to US $ 15,011,178. The film has gone on to become one of the biggest box office releases for Zendaya, beyond franchises like Spiderman and Dune.
Challengers also earned approximately US $ 10,00,000 ( 10 million) from international markets, with the contribution from India being miniscule when compared to latest countries. In India, as per Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 4 lakh on Friday, Rs 10 lakh on Saturday and Rs 12 lakhs on Sunday, thus taking the overall collection to just Rs 26 lakh. Challengers has received a exiguous release in the country while also facing cuts from CBFC for nudity and some assert words.
