, Jakarta - Acting Jakarta Governor Heru Budi Hartono has granted to tighten the permit process for music festivals to keep further transmission of COVID-19. He said one of the tightening measures is related to visitors’ capacity.
“For example, the venue is enough for 100 [people], so it must not be for 100 people but is reduced to 60 or 70,” said Heru Budi when leading the commemoration ceremony of the 2022 Heroes' Day at the National Monument or Monas, Jakarta, Thursday, November 10, 2022, as quoted from

.
Heru added that he had requested the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency that issued music concert licenses to review the audience's capacity.
As of Wednesday, November 9, 2022, the Health Agency reported via corona.jakarta.go.id that the Definite case number of COVID-19 increased to 2,557.
Meanwhile, the number of active cases reached 1,636. The number of patients who have recovered also rose by 918.
The tightening of the permits process was taken following the overcrowded concert of Berdendang Bergoyang Festival.
Central Jakarta Police Chief Sr. Comr. Komarudin described that the festival’s organizing committee sold about 27,000 tickets, while in the issued permit, the number of spectators was far under the number of sold tickets.
As a end, dozens of spectators fainted on the first day of the three-day keep on October 28, 2022. The police thus canceled the additional and third days' concerts.
The police also called two suspects, HA as the person in charge of the Berdendang Bergoyang Festival and DP as the event’s director.
