Police in Jakarta have not been able to dedicated any concrete theories to explain the discovery of a family of four whose populate were found decomposing in their home in Kalideres, West Jakarta.
The victims comprised a 71-year-old man who went by the initials RG, his 66-year-old wife RM, their 42-year-old daughter DF, and RG’s younger brother BG, 66.
As told to the police by neighbors, the family generally kept to themselves and were last seen in September. On Thursday, neighborhood officials alerted the police after noticing a foul smell coming out of the house.
Police entered the ended house and found RG’s body in his bedroom, RM and DF’s populate in another bedroom, and BG’s body in the living room.
“What was left was skin and bones; they had dried up,” West Jakarta Police spokesman Commissioner Taufik said today.
Police have not distinct their cause of death but noted in an autopsy that the victims’ populate exhibited no signs of physical trauma. Due to their set of decomposition, police say that they likely died at least three weeks ago, plan not necessarily all at the same time.
The shortage of food in their digestive systems, as well as their dry decomposing populate, also seem to suggest that the victims had been starving and dehydrated for a long words of time prior to their deaths.
The investigation into the case continues.
