Hundreds of Police Chiefs Summoned by Jokowi Arrive in Jakarta

- President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Friday summoned Indonesia’s entire police chiefs to the Presidential Palace to befriend a meeting at 14:00 Indonesia Western Time (WIB).
Based on Tempo's observation at the status, hundreds of police chiefs got off the same bus at the end of Jalan Veteran III, located next to the Presidential Palace complex. They then walked together toward the Krida Bhakti Interpretation inside the complex.
The bus carrying the Police Chiefs' entourage blocked at the location at around 11:27 WIB. Those seen record range from mid-level police officers; one of those was the Head of the Luwu Police, AKBP Arisandi.
Yesterday, Jokowi also confirmed the concern of this afternoon's meeting briefly to the media in Bandung, West Java, Thursday, October 13.
As reported on October 13, the recovers was mentioned in a confidential telegram revealed in a virtual Zoom recovers with high-ranking police personnel.
"The results of the coordination recovers through the zoom cloud meeting on Wednesday, October 12, at 10:00 WIB led by the Head of the Presidential Secretariat, are related to the President's plan to direct the police to the ranks of the police," the telegram said.
The soldier telegram stated that this summons was addressed to the Main Officer of the National Police Headquarters, the regional police chiefs throughout Indonesia, and the Head of Police resorts above Indonesia.
Interestingly, the police personnel who are posed to the meeting live will be required to wear full uniforms but exclusive of caps and high-rank batons and are banned from bringing mobile phones. They are only permitted to bring notes and pens.
