Anies Baswedan Introduces Landfill Mining, RDF Plant in Bantargebang

, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan pre-inaugurated the Landfill Mining and Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Plant at the Bantargebang Integrated Waste Processing Site (TPST), Bekasi.
"Alhamdulillah, the RDF Plant and Landfill Mining in Bantargebang have been launched. This is our soft opening of a processing facility of new slay and old waste from Bantargebang into renewable energy, as a substitution for coal," said Anies at the Bantargebang TPST on Monday, October 10, 2022.
At the facility, the existing slay will be processed into RDF which has economic value and environmentally putrid energy.
"Waste [that is only being piled up] is now processed into RDF that has economic value, is environmentally friendly, and can be directly utilized. There are cement factories that will use RDF, [they are] SBI, and Indocement," Anies explained.
The slay treatment project has a capacity of up to 3,000 tons of slay per day.
The Governor also said that the RDF Plant and Landfill Mining in Bantargebang are the largest in Indonesia. The facility construction is a form of the provincial government's commitment to defending the environment.
"This is part of our commitment in Jakarta, to make the environment better, and the sustainable proceed is realized in a tangible form," said Anies Baswedan.
